EPUB to PDF
Convert EPUB ebooks to PDF.
Reflowable chapters are laid out cleanly in the book's reading order; fixed-layout pages (comics, picture books, illustrated covers) keep their own page size and design. Complex CSS in reflowable text is simplified.
Processing…
Your files are processed locally in your browser whenever possible.
How it works
- 1 Drop one or more EPUB files, or click to choose them.
- 2 Pick a page size (A4 or Letter), margins and text size.
- 3 Click Convert.
- 4 Download the PDF, or the ZIP when you converted several books.
Common use cases
- Read an ebook on a device that only opens PDFs.
- Print a book or a chapter from an EPUB.
- Annotate a book in a PDF reader.
- Archive an ebook in a fixed, paginated format.
Frequently asked questions
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. PDF processing happens locally in your browser with pdf-lib, so your files never leave your device and nothing is stored.
Does it work with EPUB 2 and EPUB 3?
Yes. Both are read the same way: container.xml points at the OPF package, and the chapters are converted in spine (reading) order.
Can it convert DRM-protected books?
No, and it will not try. Books bought with DRM (Adobe DRM, Kindle's format, and similar) are encrypted; the tool detects that and tells you plainly instead of failing halfway. Removing DRM is not something this tool does.
Does it work with comics, manga and picture books?
Yes. Pages marked as fixed-layout are reproduced at their own page size: an image-only page is drawn straight from its picture at original quality, and a page with text over artwork is laid out by the browser and then transcribed, so the words land where the designer put them and stay selectable.
Are images and formatting preserved?
Images, headings, paragraphs, lists, block quotes, tables and preformatted text are all rendered, and the book's own embedded font is used when it is usable. Reflowable text has no fixed page layout to begin with, so it is laid out cleanly rather than imitating one — the stylesheets are not applied, so floats, multi-column layouts and absolute positioning are lost in reflowable chapters.
What about Chinese, Japanese or Cyrillic books?
They work. A font covering the book's script is loaded only when the book actually needs one, so a plain English book downloads nothing extra.
Is the text selectable in the PDF?
Yes. The text is drawn as real text with an embedded font, so you can select, copy and search it in any PDF reader.
Is there a file size limit?
The same limits as the other converters: up to 25 MB per file and 150 MB in total, since everything runs in your browser's memory.
Can I convert several books at once?
Yes. Add up to 20 EPUB files (25 MB each, 150 MB in total). Each book is converted separately in your browser and gets its own download, with "Download all as ZIP" for the whole batch. A book that cannot be converted — a DRM-protected or fixed-layout one, for instance — is reported on its own row and does not stop the others.
Is it really free?
Yes — free, with no signup, no watermark and no limits.
