Frequently asked questions

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. PDF processing happens locally in your browser with pdf-lib, so your files never leave your device and nothing is stored.

Which fields are cleared?

Title, author, subject, keywords, creator and producer are emptied. Use the PDF Metadata Viewer afterwards to confirm.

Does it remove everything?

It clears the standard document info fields. Some PDFs embed extra XMP metadata that this simple version may not fully strip — a documented limitation.

Is it really free?

Yes — free, with no signup, no watermark and no limits.
